The Chattanooga Chess Dojo works on a membership model. We offer memberships for adults, children and families! This ensures we can include ALL players in our competitive circuits and keep the prices for our classes and clubs as low as possible. We offer several membership options which unlock various services and discounts.

All memberships include participation in the Chalice Grand Prix Circuit as an individual and team member, a workbook, bandana, ability to purchase and participate in club tournaments and classes.
Additional Membership benefits include discounts on open tournaments, private lessons and merchandise as well as participation in the online LiChess Chattanooga Chess Dojo club which includes online puzzles perfect for beginning and intermediate players.
We offer 3 Membership types each featuring a Standard or Premium Membership type. These membership types include Solo Adult Memberships, Child Memberships and Parent/Child Memberships.
Please note these memberships do NOT include participation in tournaments. These tournaments must be purchased ala carte however there is a discount on open tournaments for club members!
Standard and Premium Memberships include different benefits depending on the membership type. For example, Premium Family Memberships include participation in Saturday Chess Club whereas Standard Family Members must play a small cost for each club date they attend.

The Chalice Grand Prix happens over a 16 week cycle featuring 9 Saturday Club Dates and 5 tournaments. Kids Club happens over 12 dates during this 16 week cycle. Click the See Events Dates button below to see the scheduled dates of Saturday Club, Tournaments and Kids Club.

Chess Club and Tournaments are held on the following Saturdays during the 12 week Chalice Grand Prix Cycle. Please note there are 9 club dates. Tournaments are NOT included in memberships and must be purchased separately!
Solo adult memberships, which can be purchased by and for players aged 15+ include participation in The Chalice Grand Prix Circuit as well as participation in Saturday Chess Club. Premium Membership includes participation in Saturday morning chess classes – however these spaces are limited to only 6 to 8 premium adult members so sign up fast!

Child memberships are for children looking to not only improve their chess but to make new friends and get a taste of the competitive chess landscape.
Basic memberships allow children to play on in The Chalice Grand Prix Circuit as an individual as well as member of a team as well as sign up for Kids Club chess classes. Premium memberships include an ability for a parent to drop their child off during Saturday Chess Club.
Child memberships also allow children to sign up for Thursday Night Kids Club as well as register for club tournaments!
Family memberships are a fantastic way to encourage parent child bonding while ensuring parents can still hold their own on the chessboard against their son or daughter. Each Family Membership includes 1 Parent and 1 Child, however it is possible to purchase seats for additional family memberships.
Premium Family Memberships include the participation in Saturday Chess Club whereas Standard Members must pay a small per person fee to attend Saturday Chess Club. This membership type also unlocks the ability to purchase Saturday Morning Classes for Parents and Children – however this class is limited to just 12 families so sign up fast!
Family Memberships also allow the purchase of Kid Clubs classes which happen Thursday evenings from 5-7 p.m.
